1974 Sportster XLH $2800

This is a 1974 Ironhead XLH with a 1000cc motor. The bike has been stored indoors for past 10 years or so. I Bought with the intentions of fully restoring. Unfortunately money and lack of time has halted the project.  I had the plan of switching her from drum brake setup to all disc. Person I got her from had a '72-'73 front with drum setup and the bike only came with rear drum. So I purchased a '77-'79 front with custom dual disc lowers. Can be ran as dual or single caliper. Still need calipers in front as well as wheel and rotor.  I bought front master w/ new chrome hand controls. New Drag style handlebars and 10' risers adj. The bars are 9/16 size and fit the look I was heading for nice. Still have all of the stock stuff as well.  The rear I bought a '79 swing arm w/ axle and other hardware. Had the shock holes done so all lines up correct so no additional work has to be done just installed.  The wheel and rotor purchased to complete the conversion. I have the caliper and bracket to mount on the rear as well. I do have a master that can be used but believe it requires rebuild as does rear caliper. Bracket to mount it would have to be created to mount as this bike never had disc setup. Brake is a left pedal and gear shift is on right. (For those unfamiliar with stock '74)  Cam side cover when bought was also swapped out with older cover and distributor was top mounted. I purchased true '74 cover to restore back to normal side distributor still needs the distributor kit. Was considering electronic ignition instead to rid of points and condenser and give a cleaner look and ride. Engine is not seized or locked but have not ran or tried running yet. I do know that she has compression and think just needs a rebuild kit and some new oil lines. I have bought multiple Carbs for her 2 bendix styles, older and newer models, as well as a mukoni. Have not ran or gone through any but one that has build kit done to it but have not tested it. New exhaust pipes were purchased they are loud no baffles. Needs a complete wiring harness as well as needs handlebar switches.  Bought new chopper style billet head lamp, has 2 turn signal lamps missing brake light and front signals.  Has original peanut tank that is rough on the inside, but had bought a 2000 fxdl tank to retro over to it just need the mounting kit to install. Will also come with Fat boy tanks and rear fender. Have boxes of other odds and ends to go with. Plus have cycle jack and manuals Harley, chilton, few others as well.  I have around $3600 into the project, but would be happy if I can get $2,800 obo. or Trade for a '58 to '65 Type1 vw Bug. Prefer Local buyers/CASH Only.....
