1984 Harley-Davidson FXRDG Disc Glide Am selling my Rare 1984 Harley-Davidson FXRDG Disc Glide in excellent perfect running condition. Only 863 produced. 5,825 Miles (Five Thousand Eight hundred Twenty Five Miles). Have owned since 1984, but second owner. 1st year for rubber mounted Evo Engine and wet multi-plate diaphragm-spring clutch, providing progressive, low lever effort. 12 Factory chrome plated engine covers. Genuine leather seat inlay with Embossed H-D logo and 16" spun aluminum rear disc wheel round off most features of this factory custom. The Disc Glide also received one of the first paint packages that were developed by H-D in unison with PPG's Custom Paints Division. The color was a black powder coated frame, with a killer candy Blackberry and Brandywine two-tone for the sheet metal, applied over a gold 'flake base. The "blackberry" was accomplished by applying a coat of candy red with a slight hint of red pearl over Harley's Vivid Black as a base. "Genuine Harley-Davidson" Logo for the tank panels. The whole paint job was then over cleared, leaving no 'steps' for a seamless finish. Meticulous maintenance includes changes of gear box fluid, primary chain case fluid, regular chain adjustments/lube and approximately 15 oil/filter changes during ownership. This is not a 'stored' bike. Runs perfect with no flat spots anywear due to; 165 main jet, 52 slow jet, idle mixture screw turned out 1 1/4 turns. Mods include; 'Harley' shorty mufflers, Screemin Eagle coil, wires , air cleaner, fork brace, Performance Machine 4-piston front caliper/ polished disc, Lockart oil cooler, Progressive rear shocks with adjustable rebound, Race-Tech front springs and cartridge emulator. The result is a smooth, comfortable, compliant ride with vastly improved handling. All mods are bolt-on and I have all factory components to return to 100% original condition. Price is $7,550 shipped
